Argueably crazier than Bangkok's infamous Khao San Road is Bangla Road in Phuket. The road, found in Patong, comes to life as soon as the sun goes down, and some of the creepiest of patrons crawl out to partake in the seedy activities. Here, 10 crazy photos of Bangla Road on the island of Phuket.

A large, vibrant neon sign welcomes future partiers to this sketchy stretch of road.

Visitors never know what they are going to stumble across while meandering Bangla Road, which is only some 400 metres in length.

Beer bars are found in abundance along Bangla Road, and there are a handful of clubs, go-go bars, pubs and more tucked in-between. Our favourite nightclub, however, is Illuzion Club & Discotheque. This particular club welcomes both local and international DJs almost nightly and has bomb light and dance performances to boot.

Prepare for a blurry night out, as local and international beer can be purchased for as little as ฿70 (approximately $US2.15) and liquor-ridden buckets start at around ฿150 (approximately $US4.60).

The road is blocked off to traffic after dark and is equipped with smaller sois (streets) throughout. Each one has its own list of perks (or cons, depending on the visitor). From cheap street food to bar girls, these side streets are often more interesting than Bangla Road itself.

Crazy Horse, found down Soi Tiger, is a covered soi known for its party and oftentimes seedy atmosphere. Take note of the stripper pole found throughout the bar.

Those visitors not interested in getting their buzz on have an abundance of seemingly strange activities to choose from, like getting a tattoo for all bypassers to see.

Not interested in getting inked? Maybe shooting a few pistols or rifles is more your style.

Even virtual reality experiences line Bangla Road.

You truly never know what you are going to come across on the notorious Bangla Road in Phuket, Thailand.

This was by far the most disgusting place in the whole island to me. So dirty, so low/decadence. They even offered us drugs while walking there. Thalang road on the other hand, was pretty nice (Phuket Town)!
